Plovers - Dungeness and Romney Marsh Bird Tours and B&B

Your Hosts

Pat and Paul Trodd have professional backgrounds, in teaching and gas engineering respectively. Consequently, both have a wealth of experience in dealing with a wide range of people.

Pat and Paul Trodd

Combined interests of literature, history, gardening, sport (well, Manchester City and QPR!) real ale, the Archers and good music, particularly the Oysterband, should make for lively conversation…

Paul has travelled widely in search of birds and from his time in the navy has developed a particular interest in seabirds and waders, and the Dungeness area is ideal for pursuing both tribes.

A former bird recorder for Bedfordshire and warden of Dunstable Wetland Reserve, Paul is the author of many articles and several books on birds and is also a regular contributor to Birdwatching magazine. He has spent much of his time birding in the Home Counties, East Anglia and Kent, but also has a passion for our native islands and in particular seabird cities from St Kilda to the Farnes and Handa to Lundy.

You're hosts are both in love with the Isles of Scilly, an archipelago they have visited many times since the 1970`s.
